A California-native with roots in the Philippines, Fermina is passionate about brands, people and products that lead marketing with innovation and social impact. She loves working with mission-driven organizations that foster diversity.
In 2022, Fermina joined the Board of Directors of the Oakland Asian Cultural Center, the only pan-Asian arts and culture center in the East Bay. OACC has been highlighted as a Bay Area AAPI Organization To Support And Show Solidarity With by San Francisco Magazine.
Additionally, Fermina provides brand marketing consulting for entrepreneurs from underrepresented communities through nonprofit organization, Start Small Think Big. To support arts and educational organizations their family has personal connections to, The Christopher and Fermina Phillips Charitable Fund was founded in 2021.
A graduate of the MBA program at UC Berkeley Haas School of Business, Fermina leveraged her love of retail and consumer behavior in previous marketing roles for companies including Bank of America, Gap, Pottery Barn Kids and Sephora.
Fermina currently resides in the San Francisco Bay Area with her husband, daughters and adorable pups. When she’s not working on non-profit endeavors, Fermina can be found shopping for the latest fashion and beauty must-haves, spending quality time with friends and family, taking pilates class or honing her golf game.
