Oakland Asian Cultural Center
The Oakland Asian Cultural Center (OACC) builds vibrant communities through Asian and Pacific Islander arts and cultural programs that foster inter-generational and cross-cultural dialogue and understanding, collaboration, and social justice.
Fermina joined the Board of Directors in 2022 and co-chaired the 25th and 26th Annual Fundraising Galas.
Oakland Ballet Company
Oakland Ballet Company is a non-profit, performing arts organization that reflects the diversity of Oakland and the greater East Bay. The mission of the Oakland Ballet Company is to provide accessible, relevant, and exciting dance that inspires and educates all ages of our diverse community.
Sophia performed in Graham Lustig’s The Nutcracker starting at age 10, from 2016 to 2019.

Chris graduated from the Fisher College of Business in 1997 and is a member of the Alumni Board. In 2022, Chris received the Fisher Global Business Excellence Alumni Award.
The Christopher and Fermina Phillips Endowed Fund provides scholarships to first-generation college students who are interested in studying business and/or technology-related fields with special consideration for students living or working in diverse environments.

Kalina is a member of the NYU Steinhardt Class of 2023 pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Media, Culture & Communication with a minor in Creative Writing.
